HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team looks to finish off the season strong this week, as the Pioneers are set for two road contests this week at Chico State on Thursday, Nov. 7, beginning at 4:30 p.m., and at Stanislaus State on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 11:30 a.m.
Both contests will be streamed live and live stats are available.
Cal State East Bay is coming off two tough road losses last week in Southern California against Cal Poly Pomona and No. 14-ranked Cal State San Bernardino.
The Pioneers have a chance to play the role of spoiler this week, as Chico State (10-4, 6-4 CCAA) currently stands sixth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) standings. The top six teams qualify for the CCAA Tournament beginning on Nov. 12.
Meanwhile, Stanislaus State (3-12, 0-10) is winless in conference play.
A young team that has four freshmen among their top-six in minutes played, the Pioneers (2-14, 0-10) have an opportunity to close the year on a high note and continue building momentum for next season.
