Box Score HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team fell short in its attempt to put together a winning streak in conference play, dropping its match to Sonoma State, 3-1, Friday evening at Pioneer Stadium.
Senior
Bri Vallente scored her first goal of the season on a double-assist from
Chace Miguel and
Eliana Mendoza in the 55
th minute, but CSUEB wasn't able to find the back of the net the rest of the way.
Vallente led the Pioneers with two shots on goal, while freshman goalkeeper
Jordan Smith finished with 10 saves. Three different players scored a goal for Sonoma State (7-2-0, 2-0-0 CCAA).
Cal State East Bay (2-5-3, 1-2-1) will have a week off to regroup, before resuming conference play with a road contest at Humboldt State on Oct. 18.
