SEASIDE, Calif – The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team ended their season with a 0-3 setback to California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Bay Area rival Monterey Bay on Saturday afternoon.
CSUEB will end the 2016 season with a 3-9 record in CCAA action and a 4-11-3 overall record.
After a scoreless first half, the Monterey Bay Otters scored all their goals late in the second half with goals coming in the 66th, 79th and 88th minutes.
Monterey Bay outshot East Bay 17-11, including a 9-3 shot on goal advantage.
Sophomore
Savannah Schultz led the Pioneer women with a season high four shots. Senior
Megan Ravenscroft tallied three shots with a team best two shots on goal.
Andrea Hernandez added two shots with one shot on goal.
Tia Sidtikun and
Jamie McPherson finished the game with one shot apiece.
Senior goalkeeper
Jasmine Corbett played all 90 minutes and led the East Bay defense with five total saves.
