HAYWARD, Calif – The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team will finish it California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) home slate for the 2016 season. East Bay will host Cal State San Marcos on Friday night and UC San Diego on Sunday afternoon which will be senior Day.

WEEK IN REVIEW
The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team suffered its first home conference loss of the month as Chico State pulled away for a 4-1 win. The weather was unkind as both teams battled through rainy and foggy conditions.

Michael Pavia scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season.

PIONEER POINTS
The Pioneers have already made history this season, reaching six wins overall for the first time since becoming members of the CCAA in 2009. With a 6-7-1 record, they also have a chance to finish at least .500 for the first time since 2007.Â

Cal State East Bay has scored 21 goals on 13 assists while allowing 25 goals through 14 games this year. The Pioneers have recorded 54 saves on the season.

Senior Micheal Pavia is tenth in the conference with .308 goals per game average.

Preston Hale have each scored three goals apiece for CSUEB. Calderon also leads the Pioneers with three assists.

SCOUTING CAL STATE SAN MARCOS
The Cougars are on a one game win streak after they defeated #12 ranked Cal State L.A. on October 16. San Marcos have scored 15 goals and allowed 11 goals this year. Bryan Morrison is sixth in the CCAA with two game winning goals. Morrison also leads the Cougars with three goals scored on the year. Zach Olow and Jacob Cintas are tied for the team lead with two assists each.

SCOUTING UC SAN DIEGO
The Tritons are on a current five game win streak and are ranked #12 in the NSCAA NCAA Division II Men's National Poll. UC San Diego leads the CCAA with 23 goals scored on 24 assists, while only allowing four goals this season. Sam Palano is fifth in the conference with five goals. Palano and Malek Bashti are tied for the CCAA lead with six assists each. Goalkeeper Cameron McElfresh leads the conference with a .917 save percentage.
