LA JOLLA, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's water polo returns to action on Friday, Feb. 7, to take part in the two day Triton Invitational hosted by UC San Diego. The Pioneers will face No. 3 ranked Southern California at 8:30 a.m. in its first of four games inside the Canyonview Aquatic Center.

The last time these two squads met, USC earned a decisive 26-4 win at this same tournament two years ago. Junior

Cal State East Bay will play either No. 14 Michigan or No. 15 Long Beach State in the early afternoon to close its opening day of competition. Saturday's opponents will be based on results from other games throughout the tournament.
Cal State East Bay (1-3) has won at least one game in each of the previous four years it has competed at this event. Last year the Pioneers outlasted Sonoma State 10-9 in their final game of the Triton Invitational.
