THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's water polo will head down to the campus of Cal Lutheran this weekend to participate in the Tina Finali Invitational. CSUEB will compete during two days of the three-day event, which begins on Friday.

Tina Finali InvitationalCSUEB (3-8) will play four games over the weekend, including three Division III teams from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). The Pioneers will open their schedule against Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 10:15 a.m. East Bay will then face fellow SCIAC squads Occidental and Chapman on Sunday to close out their weekend schedule.
All three matches against the SCIAC squads will be played at the Samuelson Aquatics Center. Cal State East Bay will also take on Division II rival Azusa Pacific at the Sotelo Aquatic Center in the city of Westlake Village on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Senior transfer
Alyssa Hess will face her former squad in APU, where she played from 2010-14. As a freshman in 2011, she set the APU program record for most goals in a single game and single season.
