HAYWARD, Calif. -- The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team's scheduled contest for Tuesday evening, Oct. 20, has been cancelled at the request of Cal Maritime.
The Keelhaulers are unable to field a complete team due to numerous injuries. The game will not be re-scheduled.
The Pioneers are riding a two-game winning streak following back-to-back shutouts at home. They edged out Cal State San Bernardino, 1-0, on Oct. 11 behind Kevin's Perez's late goal. East Bay then routed Pacific Union this past Thurday with nine different players scoring in a 9-0 victory.
This weekend, the squad returns to CCAA compeition and embarks on its final set of road games against a pair of northern California foes. The Pioneers travel to Humboldt State on Friday for a 3 p.m. contest before returning to the bay area to visit Sonoma State on Sunday at 2 p.m.
