Box Score: UCSD 16, CSEB 3 - FHAYWARD, Calif. – Cal State East Bay fell in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Championship title game to tournament host No. 13 UC San Diego by a 16-3 margin on Sunday.

2014 WWPA ChampionshipsUC San Diego (26-10) put the game away early on scoring seven unanswered goals to spark a 14-1 run over the opening three quarters of play. Cal State East Bay's
Jennifer Lightbody converted a 6-on-5 opportunity into a goal following the team's first drawn exclusion late in the opening frame.
UCSD junior Jolene Guiliana led all players with five goals in the title game and was named the WWPA Tournament Most Valuable Player along with a First Team designation. CSUEB senior

Casey Rushforth led the Pioneers with two fourth quarter goals. Nation was credited with 10 saves in the loss. UCSD's Courtney Miller equaled that effort in her start before being replaced late in the contest.
Cal State East Bay finishes the 2014 season with a 17-14 overall record and second place in the WWPA. Sonoma State defeated Cal State Monterey Bay by a 7-4 margin in the third place contest earlier in the day at the Canyonview Aquatic Center.
