ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Cal State East Bay and Sonoma State will meet for the third time this season on Friday, April 11, at Rudloff Pool in Rohnert Park. The Pioneers narrowly won the first two matchups by 10-9 and 5-3 scores earlier this season.

Cal State East Bay is looking to return to its winning ways after dropping three straight to top 20 nationally ranked opponents. The Pioneers had won nine of their previous 10 contests prior to this past weekend's games.

East Bay senior Sara Hudyn leads the offense with 68 goals accounting for over 30 percent of the team's scoring this season. She has netted 240 career goals with her next placing her in a tie for second in the program's all-time scoring list.

Hudyn is one of five Pioneers with 20-plus goals in 2014. Taylor Cross, Ka'iliponi McGee and Allison Zell are each scoring on 38 percent of their shots this season and have combined for 80 goals and 53 drawn ejections this season. Despite only playing two years with the Pioneers, Zell moved into the program's all-time top 10 list with 71 career assists.

CSUEB goalkeeper Marrina Nation set a new personal best with 253 saves this season. Over the weekend she became the fourth goalkeeper in program history with over 500 career stops.

Sonoma State is coming off a loss to No. 17 Michigan by a 13-6 margin. Cal State East Bay lost by an identical score to the Wolverines the day prior as part of the Pioneers "Senior Day."

Noelle Herrera leads the Seawolves with 35 goals and 69 drawn exclusions this season. SSU currently boasts four players with 20-plus goals on the season including Carleigh Robinson, Alexa May, and Brittny Hummel.

Cal State East Bay has not trailed to Sonoma State at any point this season. The Pioneers never extended their lead to more than three goals, and did not score a goal in the second half of their most recent meeting back on March 9.
