FRESNO, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's water polo is set to take on Fresno Pacific at the Sunnyside Aquatics Complex on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. The Pioneers hosted the Sunbirds in their home opener back on Jan. 18, and now FPU will do the same with East Bay tomorrow afternoon.

In that original meeting Cal State East Bay (2-7) defeated Fresno Pacific (2-7) by an 11-5 score. Senior Sara Hudyn poured in six goals and the Pioneers led 7-0 at halftime. Marrina Nation played the first half and made eight saves while holding the Sunbirds scoreless over the opening 16 minutes.

FPU's Alyssa Stevens scored four of her team's five goals in the loss. Goalkeeper Kelsie Harvey made six stops against CSUEB.

East Bay is looking to snap a three-game slide including a pair of one-goal defeats. Fresno Pacific picked up its first two wins of the season after defeating Division III squads Redlands and Occidental by identical 6-5 scores last weekend.
