HAYWARD, Calif. - Following two close defeats during homecoming week, the Pioneers will play three CCAA opponents this week.                                                                                                                                                                                          

On February 14, the Pioneers will travel to Seaside for a game with Cal State Monterey Bay. Cal State East Bay defeated Cal State Monterey Bay, 91-87, on December 30.

The Pioneers return to Pioneer Gym for their final CCAA homestand of the season. On February 17, the Pioneers will take on Cal State San Bernardino. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Coyotes beat the Pioneers on January 14 by the score of 83-71.

On February 18, the Pioneers will play their final regular season home game against U.C. San Diego. Cal State East Bay defeated the Tritons in overtime on January 13. Prior to tip-off, Cal State East Bay will honor seniors Roshun Wynne and Adam Watts.

The Pioneers remain in ninth place in the CCAA with a 5-12 record and 7-14 overall. Cal State East Bay is currently on a nine-game losing streak. During the nine-game losing streak, five contests have been decided by eight points or less.

Cal State East Bay is second in the CCAA with a 72.6 scoring average. The Pioneers continue to top the CCAA in turnover margin (+5.41).  Cal State East Bay ranks second in three-point field goals made at 7.5 and assist/turnover ratio (1.0). 

Mark Samuels is the fourth leading scorer in the CCAA averaging 14.8 points per game.

Roshun Wynne ranks fifth in scoring in the CCAA with a 14.5 point per game average. Wynne leads the CCAA with 3.2 steals a game.

Jason Smith is second in the CCAA with 2.8 three-pointers made per game.

Freshman guard Jacari Whitfield is fifth in the conference with 3.3 assists a game.

Cal State Monterey Bay is 1-16 in the CCAA and 2-19 overall. The Otters feature the second leading scorer in the CCAA, Brandon Ward, who is averaging 16.2 points a game.

Cal State San Bernardino stands in fourth place in the CCAA with a 12-6 record. The Coyotes are 13-8 for the season. Cal State San Bernardino has a balanced scoring attack led by Tre Brewer (13.4ppg-9th CCAA) and Theron Laudermill (12.3ppg-15th CCAA). Kwame Alexander leads the CCAA with 8.4 rebounds a game.

UC San Diego has won two of its last four CCAA contests and stands at 5-13 in conference play and 9-14 overall.  James McCann leads the Tritons in scoring in CCAA play with a 12.3 average. Christian Hatch is the second leading rebounder in the CCAA at 6.9rpg.
