Pioneer Softball Field
Pioneer Softball Field has been the home of Cal State East Bay softball since the program began in 1968. served as host of the NCAA DivisionII West Regional in 2025, 2026, and 2026 CCAA Softball Tournament — a postseason event the Pioneers won for the first time in program history.
LOCATION | Pioneer Field is located on the west edge of Cal State East Bay's Hayward campus, overlooking the San Francisco Bay. The field is next to Lot N, behind the baseball field.
SEATING | There are sets of stadium bleachers next to each dugout behind the backstop fence.
TICKETS | All Pioneer softball games are free, tickets are not sold at the field.
PARKING | Parking on campus requires a daily permit, which fans can purchased at an automated kiosk. Parking permits are NOT required on Saturday, Sunday, or after 5 p.m. on Friday. Lot N is available during games, but when baseball game are taking place, it is recommended that you do not park in the four rows closest to the baseball field due to the threat of foul balls damaging parked cars. Parking is also available across the street in Lot P.
RESTROOMS | Men's and women's restrooms are located next to Lot N.
CAMPUS SMOKE-FREE POLICY | Cal State East Bay is a completely smoke- and tobacco-free campus. Products such as cigarettes, hookahs, chewing tobacco, smokeless tobacco, vape pens and e-cigarettes, are not permitted in or outside any buildings or parking areas.
**ONLY SERVICE ANIMALS ARE PERMITTED AND MUST REMAIN ON A LEASH. ALL OTHER PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED.**
