Pioneer Gymnasium
Pioneer Gymnasium is the home of Cal State East Bay's women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball programs. The facility is housed within the Kinesiology & Physical Education Building, which was built in 1967.
Also inside the building is the Athletic Training Room, Weight Room and Pioneers Hall of Fame Display Wall.
LOCATION | Pioneer Gym is located on the west side of Cal State East Bay's Hayward campus, overlooking the San Francisco Bay. The KPE Building sits along West Loop, across the screet from Lot A and the Welcome Center.
SEATING | Pioneer Gym features wooden bleachers on both sides of the court. Seating is available for approximately 2,500 spectators during basketball games and 1,000 spectators during volleyball matches.
PARKING | Parking on campus requires a daily permit, which fans can purchase at an automated kiosk. Parking permits are NOT required on Saturday, Sunday, or after 5 p.m. on Friday. For basketball and volleyball events, parking is available in Lots A, P, N, and H and along West Loop.
RESTROOMS | Men's and women's restrooms are available in the lobby on the south end of Pioneer Gym, located to the left and right as you enter through the front doors.
TICKETS | The ticket office will open at the entrance of Pioneer Gym beginning one hour before game time. However, Cal State East Bay is now using a paperless ticketing system for entry.
CAMPUS SMOKE-FREE POLICY | Cal State East Bay is a completely smoke- and tobacco-free campus. Products such as cigarettes, hookahs, chewing tobacco, smokeless tobacco, vape pens and e-cigarettes, are not permitted in or outside any buildings or parking areas.
**ONLY SERVICE ANIMALS ARE PERMITTED AND MUST REMAIN ON A LEASH. ALL OTHER PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED.**
