Junior transfer Rica Guerra turned in a strong performance, playing 165 minutes at midfield this past weekend as the Pioneer men's soccer team suffered narrow defeats at Humboldt State and at home to Sonoma State. Guerra put one shot on goal in Friday's 2-0 loss at HSU in the rain. The City College of San Francisco transfer nearly put the Pioneers on the board in Sunday's double-overtime loss to the Seawolves. He fired three shots in that contest and put one on goal just after halftime that forced a diving save from the Sonoma keeper.
