Katie Allen was one of several Pioneer volleyball players to post impressive performances during the team's 4-0 weekend hosting the Route 92 Showdown. The junior outside hitter racked up 34 kills and 32 digs as the Pioneers won 12 of the 13 sets they played in the tournament. Allen also had a team-best eight service aces, and she highlighted the most memorable sequence of the weekend. East Bay started the fourth set of the final match against Seattle Pacific on a 17-0 run, eventually winning 25-11. Allen served a remarkable 18 straight points, helping the team pull away and capture the Route 92 Showdown championship.
