Fisher made history by capturing the CCAA title in the 10,000 meters, becoming the first Pioneer ever to win a CCAA championship in a track event. She entered as the No. 5 seed, but dropped 11 seconds off her personal best to win the race by more than five second over the next-closest competitor. Her mark of 36:39.98 ranks No. 5 in program history, and it stands as the fastest 10K by a Pioneer in the last 30 years. Fisher helped lead the CSUEB women's squad to ninth place in the team standings with it's highest-ever point total.
