Carretero led the CSUEB women's cross country team to its best NCAA West Regional finish of the CCAA era on Saturday in snowy Montana. She posted the highest individual finish (21st place) and the fastest 6k time (21:45.14) by a female CSUEB runner at Regionals since the program joined Division II a decade ago, becoming the first Pioneer to capture All-West Region honors during that same time span. It was an impressive end to what has been undoubtedly the best season by a Pioneer cross country runner this century.
