McKiernan was the leading overall point scorer for the CSUEB volleyball team last weekend at the CCAA Tournament. She started postseason by winning the CCAA Championship Scholar award, given to the player with the highest GPA among all participating teams. She finished the weekend by being named to the CCAA All-Tournament Team after turning in one of the best matches of her career in East Bay's first-round win over Cal State San Marcos. McKiernan racked up 17 kills and five blocks to help lead the Pioneers to the semifinals and, ultimately, an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament. She tallied four kills and six more blocks the following night against #17 Cal Poly Pomona to finish the tournament averaging 3.00 kills and 1.57 blocks per set with a total of 27.5 points.
