Ray posted an extremely strong performance this past weekend, despite back-to-back road losses for the Pioneer Volleyball team, to pick up her second CSUEB Athlete of the Week award of the young season. She notched two double-doubles, tallying 16 kills and 13 digs on Friday at San Marcos, then 18 kills and 12 digs on Saturday at UC San Diego. In both contests, she was East Bay's leading attacker. For the week, Ray averaged 4.25 kills and 3.13 digs per set with a .250 hitting percentage. She is CSUEB's leading scorer this season and ranks sixth in the CCAA with an average of 3.41 kills per set.Â
