With hat tips to Sarah Fukushima and Courtney Leyba, who both had outstanding performances with the bat for the East Bay softball team, Greer was integral to both Pioneer victories this past weekend as the squad split its final series of the year vs. Cal State San Bernardino. She tossed a four-hit shutout in the opener, striking out six and walking just one in a 5-0 victory. Greer was outstanding again the following day, taking a tough 3-2 extra-inning loss after pitching eight innings in the first game, her 17th complete game of the year. She came back to hurl the final two scoreless frames in the back end of the doubleheader, earning her second save in a 9-7 victory. For the weekend, the sophomore allowed just three runs and struck out nine in 17.0 innings.
