Vesia earned his third straight weekly award after earning a 1-0 shutout victory over Cal Poly Pomona to become the baseball program's all-time leader in career wins (21) and strikeouts (221). The left-hander turned in a brilliant outing in the series opener, striking out a season-high 10 batters and issuing just one walk in 6.1 scoreless innings. On Tuesday, he was rewarded with CCAA Pitcher of the Week honors.

Vesia has recorded wins in each of his last three outings and has not allowed an earned run over his last 26 innings. He currently ranks second in the CCAA among qualified pitchers with a 2.09 ERA.
