Dey had an outstanding week at the plate to lead an impressive offensive performance by the East Bay baseball team in the opening series of the season. CSUEB's starting catcher was also the top hitter for a Pioneer offense that batted .307 with a .467 on-base percentage in winning three out of four games against British Columbia.
Dey had a monster game in the opener, going 3-for-4 with a home run, double, and three RBI. He ended the weekend with another multi-hit game Sunday. In three games behind the plate, he posted a .462 batting average, .533 on-base percentage, five runs scored, and 10 total bases. He also threw out two out of three potential base stealers.
