Beaty shined for the Pioneer swim team on Saturday in its first home meet of the 2017-18 season and its first competition since before the holidays. The senior All-American captured first-place finishes in both te 100 and 200 Backstroke, the only two event victories of the day for East Bay in a double dual meet against Division I squads San Jose State and Nevada. 

Beaty also swam the second leg of the 200 Medley Relay and placed sixth in the 200 Individual Medley on Saturday, finishing the day as the Pioneers' highest individual point scorer. She currently holds the top time in the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference (PCSC) in both breaststroke events and has already posted an NCAA Championship qualifying mark, ranking No. 2 in the nation in the 200 and No. 5 in the nation in the 100.
