Frakes turned in the best performance of his four-year Pioneers career this past Saturday as the CSUEB men's basketball team nearly pulled off an upset of UC San Diego. After grabbing five boards in 17 minutes in a narrow loss to Cal State San Marcos on Thursday, Frakes tallied his second career double-double two days later against the Tritons. 

Frakes scored a career-high 21 points on a red-hot 10-for-11 performance from the floor, falling just shy of the program record for field goal percentage in a game. He also grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked three shots in a season-high 30 minutes, notching double-digit rebounds for the third time in his last six games. For the season, Frakes leads the Pioneers in rebounding (5.6 rpg) and field goal percentage (.510).
