Asah posted two outstanding performances for the CSUEB men's basketball team last week against extremely high caliber competition. The Pioneers split their pair of contests, upsetting Western Washington on the road last Tuesday before falling on Saturday back at home to Chico State -- both opponents are among the best in the West Region.
The sophomore guard had 17 points and seven rebounds in the win over WWU, then racked up a game-high 23 points against an excellent Chico State team, setting a career high with five three-pointers. Asah averaged an efficient 20.0 points over the two games, shooting 50 percent from the field (13-26), 53 percent from long distance (8-15), and 86 percent from the foul line (6-7).
