TJ Butler scored two goals this week as the Cal State East Bay men's soccer team closed out the season with its first CCAA win of the year against Cal State San Marcos. The senior scored CSUEB's only goal in a 4-1 loss to #18 UC San Diego on Thursday -- it gave the Pioneers a 1-0 lead at the time in a well-played first half for East Bay. Butler then made his Senior Day a memorable one with another goal to give the Pioneers a 1-0 advantage in an eventual victory against the Cougars. He finished an impressive 2017 campaign with 5 goals and 3 assists, tied for the team lead in total points.
