Pedro Cruz was the top finisher for the CSUEB men's cross country team for the second straight year at CCAA Championships. He led the No. 10 ranked team in the West to a fourth place finish, the program's highest since joining the conference.
Cruz placed 13th individually, the highest finish ever by a male Pioneer runner at the championship meet, crossing the finish line in Ceres, Calif. with an 8k time of 25:03.8. Cruz, who already owns the school 8k record, is the first male East Bay runner ever to earn a place on the All-CCAA Team.Â
