Junior golfer Chad Hall has been named Cal State East Bay's Male Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Doubletree by Hilton Pleasanton at the Club, for Oct. 19-25. 

The newcomer led the Pioneer men's golf team to sixth place at the Cal State Monterey Bay Otter Invitational in a 19-team field that featured 10 of the top-50 ranked teams in the nation. 

Hall led the way for the Pioneers, finishing tied for ninth place individually in a 100-golfer field that included six players from Division I University of Washington and featured several Division II All-Americans.

Hall finished the week with an even-par total of 216. His 67 (-5) in round onewas the second-lowest card by any player in the field. That round was highlighted by a hole-in-one on the 17th hole from 178 yards.
