Puou, a Hayward native, averaged 17 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in three victories for the Pioneers this past week. She collected two double-doubles along the way including career-high marks of 23 points and 11 rebounds in the team’s home opener against Minnesota State Moorhead.
As a team, Cal State East Bay knocked down 71-84 free throws (.845) with Puou contributing a 17-of-18 effort. She either matched or improved upon nine major statistical career marks during the week including an 8-for-8 effort at the charity stripe against Dominican on Tuesday, and three blocks on the defensive end in Saturday against Fresno Pacific.
