Senior golfer Linda Brown has been named Cal State East Bay's Female Athele of the Week for Oct. 27 - Nov. 2. She decimated the competiton at the 2014 Rick Barn Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University at Rock Barn Golf Club in Hickory, North Carolina. Brown shot 75 (+4) and 72 (+1) in the 36-hole event -- the two lowest scores of the entire tournament -- to claim the individual championship by eight strokes over the second-place golfer. On the same course where she was crowned NCAA Division II West Region Co-Champion last spring, Brown led the Pioneer women's golf team to a third-place finish. This marks her first tournament victory of the 2014-15 season and the seventh medalist performance of her decorated career.
