Will Weekes has been named Cal State East Bay Male Athlete of the Week for Sept. 1-7. The senior from Castro Valley claimed an individual victory on Saturday morning at the CSUEB-Holy Names 5K Dual Meet at Garin Regional Park. Weekes finished the 5k course in 16:37, 10 seconds better than the Hawks' top runner. Led by Weekes, the Pioneers captured a 25-37 team victory over HNU.
