Ryan Kochan had a big weekend at the plate, helping lead the Cal State East Bay baseball team to a four-game sweep of Cal State L.A. The junior posted two multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 performance in Sunday's finale. He batted .467 with a .500 on-base percentage for the weekend and led the Pioneers with seven hits, five RBI, and three stolen bases in the four games. Kochan also played outstanding defense at third base, showing off impressive range and taking away several potential hits from the Golden Eagles. The San Ramon native is fifth on the team with a .298 batting average and second on the team with nine steals this season. He was named CCAA Player of the Week for his accomplishments against CSULA.
