Kelsey LaVaute put on an impressive display of power last week as the Pioneer softball team swept Academy of Art in a doubleheader and split four games with Cal State Stanislaus. She went 6-for-12 at the dish and recorded an RBI in five of the six games. She went 2-for-2 with two home runs and four RBI in the second game against the Warriors on Friday. She drove in four more runs in Saturday's first game and blasted her third long ball of the weekend. LaVaute finished with six walks and 12 RBI for the week. The junior leads the Pioneers with 12 homers, 44 RBI, and 81 total bases this season.
