Lauren McGlory leapt into the Pioneer record books last Friday with a historic triple jump at the Texas Relays in Austin, one of the premier track meets in the country. McGlory's distance of 41'10.5 (12.76m) broke a 22-year old program record and reached an NCAA automatic qualifying distance, which has earned her a spot in the 2014 NCAA Track and Field Championships in Allendale, MI. McGlory placed fifth in the event, competing against 27 Division I ahtletes. Her mark currently ranks second in the nation among Division II jumpers. She was the first Pioneer to earn CCAA Female Track & Field Athlete of the Weeks honors this year.
