Sophomore Tori Breshers was a bright spot for the Pioneer women's basketball team, which suffered a pair of tough road defeats this past weekend. The forward from Gardena came off the bench to lead Cal State East Bay in scoring, averaging 15.5 points over the two games. On Friday night, she scored 11 points to go along with four rebounds and two steals as the Pioneers were edged out by nemesis Cal State L.A., 58-49. The next night, Breshers was the team's go-to scorer in a 57-49 loss at Cal State Dominguez Hills. She notched a career high with 20 points on 7-for-14 shooting and 4-for-5 from the free throw line, even knocking down a pair of three-pointers. She has now scored in double figures in five of the last six games, and for the season, Breshers is East Bay's third-leading rebounder (4.9 per game) and fourth-leading scorer (8.8 per game).
