Danielle Peacon led the Pioneers women's basketball team to a pair of blowout victories at home last weekend, shooting 48 percent from the field and averaging 14.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. She had 13 points, eight boards, two steals, and two blocks in just 16 minutes in Friday's 71-39 win over Sonoma State. The following night, she notched her fifth double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds in East Bay's 74-54 win over SF State in the Battle of the Bay. Peacon has scored in double figures in nine straight games, and her Pioneers are currently alone in second place in the CCAA at 9-3.Â
