DeNise, a senior from Davis, had a career-weekend in leading the Pioneers to the team title at the La Verne Winter Invitational. In total she was part or the sole owner of six event victories, three school records, and 10 NCAA Division II National “B” cut qualifying marks.

Individually she won the 100-yard freestyle (51.36) and tied with teammate Brittany Rojo in the 100-yard butterfly (56.27). She also destroyed the field during the preliminary heats of the 200 individual medley finishing in a program record time of 2:06.85, nearly four full seconds clear of the field.

DeNise led off the 4x100 medley relay finishing her backstroke leg in a school record time of 57.45 seconds. She was also a member of all three victorious freestyle relays that finished in NCAA national provisional qualifying times. In the 4x50 free her sub-24 second leadoff leg was good enough for another national qualifying mark.
