LaBeaux, a member of the Pioneer men’s track and field team in the early ‘80’s, was a NCAA II National Champion in the 400 Intermediate Hurdles in 1981. He earned consecutive All-American honors in the 400 IH in 1981 and 1982. LaBeaux holds the school record in the 400 IH with a time of 50.96. As a defensive back for the Pioneer football team, LaBeaux broke a school record with four interceptions in a game. He earned first team All-FWC honors and was a key contributor for the 1981 Pioneer football co-conference championship team.
