Rhonda Colvin Hopson was the Nor Cal Athletic Conference 110 high hurdles champion in 1989, ’90, and ’92 and captured the 100 meter and 400 meter hurdles in 1992. She held the school and conference record in both the 100 meter and 400 meter hurdles. Colvin still holds the NCAA Division II record in the 100 meter hurdles. She was the 1992 Nor Cal Conference Athlete of the Year in track and field as she captured six events. Colvin earned All-American honors in 1988, ’89, ’90, and ’92. She scored in five events in the ’92 NCAA Nationals and was a semi-finalist in the 100 meters in the 1992 and 1996 U.S Olympic Trials. Colvin had the seventh fastest United States 100 meter time in 1996. She missed the CSUH 1991 season serving in the US Army-Desert Storm Operation. Rhonda served for the US Army in Iraq.
