Cal State East Bay University Athletics

Costello excelled in basketball, field hockey, volleyball, and softball from 1965-70. She was a key performer for the 1965 Pioneer Women’s Basketball Championship team. Costello was a member of the Cal State Hayward women’s basketball team that included Pioneer Athletic Hall of Famers Diane Kalliam and Linda Barneson. She went on to become a successful women’s professional bowler.
