Jacinto played for the Pioneer football team from 1971-74. Starting at quarterback as a freshman, Jacinto led Cal State Hayward to a 7-2-1 overall record and a third place finish in the FWC. Among the all-time Pioneer passers, Jacinto is first in passing yardage (5.132 yards), touchdown passes (42), and total offense (6,337 yards). He is second in pass completions (340). During his four-year playing career, Jacinto was selected to the All-FWC Team.
