Debby De Angelis is the first woman to be Director of Athletics at Cal State Hayward/East Bay, guiding Pioneer Athletics through the transition from Division III/NAIA to Division II. She won several awards during this time, including 2007 NAIA Region II Athletic Director of the Year, 2008 Astrofurf NAIA Athletic Director of the Year and 2008 NACWA Administrator of the Year for NAIA. In addition, De Angelis served as assistant manager for the 1976 and 1980 USA Women's Olympic Rowing teams.
