Cathy Sulinski has been the Cal State Hayward and Golden State Conference record holder in the javel8n since 1979. She was a four-time AIAW Division I All-American and a two-time National Champion in the javelin in 1978 and ’79. In 1980, Sulinski was an Olympic Trial Finalist. She was a member of the US Olympic Team in 1984 placing 10^th in the javelin. She was the javelin champion at the 1985 National Sports Festival. Sulinski also excelled for the Cal State Hayward women’s basketball team.
