AS A JUNIOR (2015): Made 14 apperances...Posted a 6.75 ERA in 20 innings pitched, with 11 strikeouts... Notched his first collegiate victory with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief in a 2-1 extra-inning victory over Chico State on 4/25/15... Earned his first save with a scorelss inning against Stanislaus State on 5/1/15... Had a 3.07 ERA in 14.2 innnings over the final two months of the seaosn... Didn't allow a run over his last three relief apperances (4.2 innings). 

PREVIOUS COLLEGE/CLUB: Attended College of The Sequoias for two years and played baseball…League champions 2014 and third-place in state championships…Led league with 1.75 ERA his freshman year…broke record for lowest ERA in a season at College of The Sequoias in 2014…Was named all-conference and most improved player…Also played for Cali Expos travelling team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Redwood High in 2012…Played varsity baseball for two years…Led league in strikeouts with 72…CY Young and all-conference award winner.

PERSONAL: The son of Faith and Steve Liebel…Likes cars, technology, and Jets…Favorite athlete is Evan Longoria…Choose Cal State East Bay because, “I wanted to be close enough to home, but go somewhere out of the Central Valley, and I mean who wouldn’t enjoy living in the bay?”
